Statement pendant of Smoky Quartz set in handmade Sterling Silver setting. This unique pendant is 100% Brazilian work. The gorgeous Smoky Quartz came from one of our favorite vendors up in the mountains outside of Rio de Janeiro. The pendant was handmade in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, 260 miles away. So, here is a completely Brazilian piece to enjoy. The Smoky Quartz is 64 carats and just over an inch in diameter. It comes with its own 20 inch Sterling Silver box chain. Smoky Quartz is a variant of the Quartz mineral family which ranges in color from a light gray to darker gray/brown/black and can be transparent to barely translucent. It is the national gem of Scotland, and sacred to the Druids in Celtic cultures. Hecate, the ancient Greek goddess was also associated with Smoky Quartz. Smoky Quartz is thought to help one become balanced and grounded especially with a chaotic life.
